Hedgelaying, hurdle making, garden and estate maintenance and improvement, woodland and grassland management are just a few of the skills you can enjoy learning alongside like-minded enthusiasts.

Plumpton College in East Sussex offers a wide variety of short courses including several on wine and growing grapes.

The nearbye Netherfield Centre for Sustainable Food Farming has courses on growing vegetables, starting a pig herd etc.  

Bicton College in Devon offers the chance to be a farmer for a day - including getting up at 5am! There is a tractor handling course and they'll shortly be offering sheep dog training. Some course dates on the news page. Stay locally at Skinners Farm.
